I recently been dreaming on a new tank  was wondering if anyone have one with a 5' X 5" foot print, please post your likes, dislikes, and of course PICS!

TIA

It's quite a cube. If someone asks this question a few months in the future, I hope you will be the one who will post pics of your tank :-) if someone has done it, it's great to learn from their experiences. If no one has done it, it's great to be the first Go for it.

For big cube, water needs to be clear for better view due to the depth, better filter system, more carbon...

I'm still planning on doing it and have the components but it will be another 6 months before its up and running. I will start by running it BB and if I don't like it after 6 months I would add a sand bed. The plan is to put a canyon down the center to limit having to access that part of the tank.

Tank has been order at 60"x60"x30" and I haven't gotten it or seen it yet but I'm very excited. I planned to have the tank viewable from 4 sides with no central overflow so it had a few design limitations. I have been working on it for over a year and I'm still changing the design daily. good luck and I look forward to seeing where you take it.

Thanks guys, and Rendos all I can say is OMG what awesome setups! Thanks for sharing.

thirschmann, I'm really excited for you, please post a link in here to your upcoming reef beauty.

This tank is just in the dreaming stages, as we are hoping to make a move to a larger home in TX in the near future. My thought process was a 5 X 5 cube viewable in 3 sides with the overflow box behind the wall into a fish room. I also imagined running 4 â€"œ 400W LumenBright reflectors (using 3 I already have) and adding 3 â€"œ 4ft VHO’s on sides and center, in tank water circulation by 3-4 Tunze’s mounted strategically on the back pane, sump water circulation by a Reeflo Dart.
