Hi All

I trust you are all OK?

I apologise for posting my first post within this area - but any assistance in helping me ID this issue with one of my Acros would be most appreciated!

The Acro is not a new addition, so it is not something I have just added to the system etc:

You input is valued here.

Hi Jay,

Welcome to reefcentral, nice to have another UK reefer here.

I can't say I'm certain what it may be. The picture could be better. Is there any tissue loss or any other sign of ill health on this coral?

How long has this coral had the anomaly and has it developed and, if it has developed how fast has it done so?

Regards,

Tony

its the infamous bubbles

have had them here and there for years, more at this moment than at any other to be honest

I honeslty believe it has soemthing, somehow to do with the copious amounts of two part and mag I go through, but I really have no idea for sure. I can say dont worry about it. It will go away and in may cases will start sprouting arms where it starts.

out of curiousity.......been tweaking your magnesium levels lately??

Hi Tony

Nice to hear from you - and apologies for not replying sooner (I forgot my log on details so had to re, register) - must be getting old!

I am not 100% certain the length of time I have had the growths on the Acro to be honest - as I had Xenia growing around the base hiding it mostly. I had thought the Xenia caused this at the start, but i am not so sure now as the Xenia has been removed for some time now - and i still have this issue?
There seems to be no obvious signs of tissue loss or coral ailment, just these bubble growths?

As for timescale - yet again, I must admit I did not notice this at the start, so am not able to say for sure.

PS - I seriously have to try and get down to yours for that coffee one day.

Hi

As above - I apologise for not replying sooner, I had issues (my brain froze).

As for the Mg level - not played around with anything - stable at around 1350.

Regds and thanks

Jay

The acro might be Horradia? (spell?)

I had a theory that "bubbles" might be from excess UVa-b from the lighting. But Mg you say hmmmm.
