Any good online sites?

Local, you're looking at Emerald Bay, Aquatic Critter, or Fins (see our website for maps and info-- www.mtrc.org)

I've not really bought corals online much because I like seeing what I'm buying, so I let someone else chime in there.

Our local places generally have a pretty good selection of things and can get in what you'd like.

I've not ordered any corals online personally, but if I were to, I'd probably go with bluegrasscorals.com or fragglereef.com. In fact, my next "planned" online coral purchase will be from BlueGrass Corals, simply because he has some awesome Acans and thats what I'm after. :)

Yep! Forgot about Brian.

Most of the RC advertisers have good reputations. Several have already been mentioned.

For clean up crews, I like Reeftopia. I've gotten some pretty nice stuff at
Live Aquaria's Diver's Den and zoanthids from Gateway Aquatics. I mention those because I prefer to buy WYSIWYG stuff.

Like most others, I prefer buying corals from LFS because I can see it and get it from one tank to another ASAP. Something I really enjoy is browsing different LFS, so I'll mention most of the ones I know of in case you travel or like weekend one day style road trips.

The Aquatic Critter in Nashville has the best fish selection I've ever seen and I've seen them rated in the Top 10 nation wide. I've also been very happy with everything I've bought from Emerald Bay.

If you're ever in Memphis, it has 2 really great stores as well. There are also 2 ok stores there. The first 2 are
Kermit's Reef (ran by RC user "just dave")
and
MemFish (ran by RC user "Rendos")
These are really great stores. Dave has a really good quarantine policy so fatalities are extremely rare. Richard Rendos's store often has really nice selection (before it sells out) and prices that rival online.

The other 2 smaller stores are

Something Fishy and Ocean Environments. Both are somewhat smaller stores. Something Fishy is easily accessible right off I-40, but Ocean Environments is about a half hour north of the city. And last time I was there they'd just changed ownership and the tanks were in need of a lot of help.

I haven't had a chance to see Philip Root's new store The Coral Gardens yet, but at the last 2 or 3 frag swaps I've seen him at he had a really nice selection with him. Also in Birmingham, there's Aquatic Designs. I'll just say it's a nice store to look. Surprisingly, Huntsville, AL doesn't have many nice saltwater stores. The biggest (in the city) Lucy's Lagoon just recently shut down I heard. But, between Athens and Huntsville, in Harvest, AL John Newby's store Coral Reef Aquatics is definitely worth visiting.

If you're ever in ATL, Cappuccino Bay has a HUGE selection of SPS. There's another "Ocean Something" in ATL that I've been to but I can't remember the name. There are nearly a dozen stores there that I haven't been to though. Some I hear are worth checking out, I just haven't had time while visiting my sister.

In Chattanooga I've been to 3 stores, I'll let you google map them yourself at this point. :)
Donny's Fifth Day Creations had a great selection of rare corals and clams. The Bermuda Triangle and Fish Mania are mostly freshwater but have a few saltwater items. They were trying to get into saltwater last time I was there last summer. A 4th store in the area I've heard about and spoken to the owner belongs to Michael Galloway in Cleveland/McDonald, TN. And I'm kicking myself for not remembering the name, but I plan to visit next time.

Unfortunately, I haven't ever been able to visit any of the stores in the Knoxville area. There are several that I've heard good about, but no personal info.

In the Bowling Green/Scottsville, KY area, Mitch's Fishey Business has the most interesting tank I've ever seen. A huge cylinder tank that spins and cleans itself. Oh, and there are normally nice fish and corals too. But I often spend half my time there staring at his display tanks.

4 hours north of you barely still in KY, in Owensboro is the friendliest town/store I've ever been in. Keith from Creative Aquatics remembered me, my name, and Chris Stowers when he came down to the Frag Swap in January. We had visited his store in October I believe. It's a small store with a large frag tank that has stuff priced really well. But the store's highlight has to be the owner/staff/customers. Keith keeps a log (in a notebook) of what people have been feeding/adding to their tanks in case they later have questions about something they previously bought. For some reason, I just left there really impressed both times I visited even though the store isn't huge.

Um, I think I've written enough.

Is it bad that there are more stores I've been to but didn't even mention? At least the stores I haven't been to yet is still longer than the ones I have. It's a hobby inside a hobby.

I personally think the best place to get corals is from locals in the reef club or from regional frag swaps. I know Ebay and the Aquatic Critter will order things for you when they are available and I have had good luck with both in the past. That being said:

http://www.reefermadness.us
http://www.exoticreefs.us/

.....are some places I have enjoyed looking at eye candy in the past and that have good reps.
You can also find some good deals in the selling forum here on RC:

Also bluegrass has much better prices than most for what he carries;)

Yep, Aussie Acans are still commanding incredibly high prices and there aren't too many places you can find a huge selection of them.
