Any idea what kind of coral this is?

Bought a rock with mushrooms on it and this stuff started growing like crazy, it doubled in size in about a month. Its very smooth but at night it looks furry. Its the light brown coral running down the sides of the rock.

Hey Cloak I see your in Stockton, I'm in Tracy.
I didn't mean the green mushrooms I meant the light brown coral mat running down the closest edge of the rock.
 
looks like a sponge of sorts. In my tank, they like to grow around and under some of my shrooms. They also like shady spots in the tank where they don't have much competition.

Woops... My bad. :)

I'm seeing what looks like individual circles on the edge. (tan in color) Have you ever seen any polyps come out? What does it feel like to the touch? Somewhat soft like a sponge, or more like a rock, but slimy?

Yea It will have tiny polyps that come out at night. It is hard to the touch slightly slimy but not overly
