Any idea what this is

My clown fish had something show up on his back lastnight the opposite side is a little inflamed also.

Looks too big to be parasitic. My best guess would be Lympho or the beginnings of a bacterial infection. I would soak your fish food in vitamin supplements, step up WCs; see if his immune system can beat this on its own. Is the clown in QT?
 
I agree it appears to be Lymphocystis and you should keep a close watch and insure water quality is high. There is no treatment for lymphocystis. Is this a new fish to your tank?

Observe any change in behavior or appetite and watch for any spread of the white nodules or new lesions.

So watch for white nodules or new lesions....and what to do if they are found ?
Is it contagious ? Fatal? If so, should it be quarantined ASAP ?
