I was given a nice sebae as a gift. I don't have enogh lighting or space (24 nano with 4x 36watt pc) for it. I would like to trade for something nice that would do well in my tank.

Sebeas are white. Does he still have the purple tips? I see a few but not all. I kinda wouldn't mind having him in my 29 but I wonder if this type moves a lot...

I've got the monster from Bart. It is tannish with purple tips. It settled in where I wanted it for a few weeks/month then I changed th elighting and it started climbing until it released into the water column and landed somewhere I didn't want it. I pulled it out and put it where I wanted it again and it has only moved a few inches. All this over several months. IME, most will stop roaming when they find a place they like.

I could trade you some Xenia for it. I ahve 2 large stalks on a rock. Are they sand or rock dwellers?

I've got enough Xenia. would like to get some frogspawn or hariy shrooms or some thing of that sort

yea all the tips have a dark purple dot on the tips

when it was given to me it was about the size of a tenis ball but it has since spread out to about 1 & 1/2 that size.

Looks bleached to me as well. It should have a tannish tint to the tentacles. It's probably in a good spot to recover rev under your lighting. The yellowing i believe is her zooxanthellae growing back. I would feed her something small like mysis if she is indeed bleached.

They should eat some nice and meaty foods. I feed krill to my BTA's. I haven't tried any large foods on the Sabae, though. If they eat, they can better combat the stress.

There is room agin for PM's. It's amazing how fast the boxes fill up...

rev, I have some fuzzy shrooms, but cannot part with them. they are from the origional stocking in my tank and I have had them for 6 years.

I read a thread on macna this year gary about a presentation regarding anemones and prey size. It implied that alot of the larger pieces of food that are fed to captive anemones are usually expelled hours after feeding. I'll try and dig it up. It's a good read. Mysis seemed to be the preferred size. That GBTA i got from you awhile back is looking better than ever man. She's a good 8" expanded under the 'saki. She never looked this good under the phoenix.

It IS bleached. They are naturally brown with colored tips. If that one gets fed right with the right light it should mostly keep those tips but turn a decent brown color. I'll find a link for you guys to see what it should look like.

This is the same nem in both pics. No sebea is supposed to be white and those sold as white are bleached. The sick one is on the top and the bottom one is after it has recovered for a while. Brown is a sign of health for sure.
