Can Pharmacists prescribe Interceptor? Figured only Veterinarians could since it's meant for animal consumption?

I have a few clients as Pharmacists. Are you going research, corporate, or hospital? A good friend of mine in TN is both a reefer and pharmacist.

lol pharmacist can't prescribe anything for anyone as of now in Illinois

Interceptor is back on the market, sold to another drug company after merger who is bringing it back

I've gotten interceptor several times from Skycrest animal clinic for anybody who needs it.

It's a prescription drug, don't sell it or give it away, it can kill dogs that are heartworm positive. That's why its sold by vets only. They stopped making it because the FDA was about to shut them down, pieces of metal were found in some pills. They are back now, same company as far as I know. Sentinel is not a great product in my mind, its heartworm prevention that also sterilizes fleas. People think they don't need flea protection for their dogs when they actually do. I personally like Vectra or Comboguard best.

Thank you for the extra info. I've never had a dog, only used it on my reef, it worked.

Novartis used to make it, now Elanco does. It wasn't metal that caused the shutdown, it was wrong medications mixed into certain medicine on the human side.
