I need a 35 1/2" x 17 1/2" piece of glass or acrylic. I had a 40 breeder critter cage that had a under tank heater and the snake was in the water bowl and spilled water which went over the hot heater side and cracked the bottom. I had the tank in the garage but decided I want to use it again. I knocked the bottom piece out, scraped the silicone, now its ready for another piece of glass/acrylic. Checked lowes and they only have really thin glass and the thicker acrylic was almost $40 a sheet.

Thanks,
Steve

Any glass company could do it for you. I have had 4 different glass tops cut and baffels from our local comany but a sheet that big may cost $25+

I got glass tops cut for my FO tank from the glass place at the lavergne end of old nashville hwy. Its an odd size and i couldnt find any to fit.

I called glasscages first.... of course Tom had no time for a petty request like that.

I had to make a run to M'Boro today and called Waynes Glass. They cut me a piece the size I needed for $11. Worked out pretty good. I don't know why I didn't just pick up a phone book in the first place. Thanks for all the info...

Lowes only had really thin sheets of glass. I thought Home Depot quit selling glass/acrylic. Guess they just moved it. Use to be in the lumber section....the one in M'boro. It was cheaper to go through the glass company anyways. And they make it where the edges arent sharp. Thanks for the info...

If you're still looking for a place to cut acrylic, there's a place near downtown Nashville called Plastics Supply. Two Five Four-Five Seven Two Five
