Any reason not to get a Cleaner Shrimp?

Depends on what's in your tank. As long as there are no predators and you have good quality water, there is no reason why you shouldnt. I love mine and have always had them in my tanks.

Mine cracks me up, very social, loves to clean you if you are working in there.... STEALS FOOD FROM EVERYTHING! but that is only down side

They steal food from your corals!!!!!!!! I have a Striped and a Blood and they are thieves. I love them both but they can be a pain at times. Make sure to feed them a clump of whatever and then feed your corals.

So i got my shrimp a couple of days ago. He's loving the new home. Any problem keeping a cleaner shrimp in a tank with an anemone? I don't have an anemone but thinking about getting one down the line for my two ocellaris clowns.( if it come down to it id rather have the shrimp)
Reason i ask is i lost a peppermint shrimp to an umbrella mushroom years ago in my old tank.
Are these cleaner shrimp smart enough to stay away from the nem?

If you have smallish fish that like to hide then I think IME that a skunk is a great little guy. If it weren't for him, my tank from a distance would look barren. He is always out and perches in the water column. At first he would clean my bicolor blenny but now he seems to prefer catching food as it floats by his feelers. Funny he won't move to catch anything though. I guess he knows there is no shortage of food. I'm a recovering over feeder.

Love my cleaner shrimp.... he found a home right away hasn't moved far from his rock at all.
So far has not stolen any food from corals. Just gets all that floats by. I have only seen him leave this overhang rock about 5 times and never far at all.

Even though he don't move much he's nice to look at.

How big is your tank? An adult cleaner shrimp can become more trouble than it's worth in a small tank IME. Constantly bouncing off the walls, trampling all over your corals, stealing food etc. I took one out of my 20 gallon tank for this very reason. GL.
