Any Red Chili Coral EXPERTS ???? Need advice please

I have a beautiful piece of Red Chili Coral.
I am getting a lot of mixed info on this coral and i need some expert advice:
1. Hang upside down or not?
2. Needs flow so"¦..why in a cave, can it stay in the open
3. How about feeding?
4. Place in the shade or in low light "¦.how about lighting?

I have a piece for the past 7+ years I placed it under a overhang upside down out of direct light, it do extend towards the light no direct feeding but once a week I do feed for filter feeders coral has been doing great it stays extended for at least 18+ hours per day. hope that helps.
