I got this seahorse about 2 months ago.

When I got him he was black.

He eats and looks healthy, but why is he losing his colour

PM Lori7973, she raises them! I don't know if she's still frequenting the forum, but her reef is for sale right now in the selling forum...HTH!

They will change their color depending on their favorite "hitch". In seahorse tanks people will put bright pieces of fake coral, etc. {normally the same color as their seahorses} so that the seahorse will keep its color.

He is really really tiny! How big would you say this SH is? Maybe its just a weird camera angle. :) If he really is that lanky I would be super sure to target feed, make sure he's getting enough food. And if already doing that, I'd be more than tempted to soak his food in selco/fatty acid supplement. I love his coloration though. Reminds me of a dalmation.
