Any tricks to one handed fragging?

My tank is so high and my canopy has only top access I can only get one hand in their at a time. Any one have any good tricks for one hand fragging? I can see pieces falling into the rock work....

I was thinking of laying a fish net under the colony but with my luck I would snag a branch...

I had the same problem once and i looped a length of fishing line around the acro branch prior to snipping it and then just reeled it in...... Instead of a fishing net use a small piece of plastic flyscreen under the colony as it doesn't snag like a soft fish net or 200 micron bag, yes i've snagged both a fish net and a 200 micron bag on colonies trying to do what you want to do lol.

I use to own a 30" tall tank and what I did was use fishing line with a noose and tie up the frag and snip snip, zero loss, zero hunting.

What I do is use my frag cutters, press down where I want the cut to happen (cuts into the coral from both sides) and turn to create a snapping motion. Basically breaking off a piece while the cutters hold the fragged coral. Let me know if that makes sense.

Joleen from ATL uses a wooden clothespin. She clamps the clothespin onto the frag and then cuts it off with bonecutters. The clothespin then floats to the surface holding the frag.

I thought it was pretty ingenious.

i use chopsticks,
split them into individual sticks, then i split an individual stick up the middle but leaving it together at the top,
then i put a rubberband halfway up it.
Depending how thick of a piece your cutting you can adjust the rubberband up or down for pressure.
snip away and the frag floats to the top.
