Any used 250W SE 14k bulbs out there?

Hope all is well out there in this dreary weather - should we be simulating a cloudy day in our tanks too? Ha, no!

Anyway, I'm running 20k radiums now and growth seems to be slooooooowww. I have no true reference point since I'm still new to this, but I did want to see if a lighting temp change makes a difference. I'd like to give 14k a try. Any of you LED folks have old-ish bulbs stashed away somewhere by chance?

I've got Uschio, Hamiton and AB 10K's with some life left if that helps. I just threw out some 14K's Shoot
Let me know!

Darn, but thanks! I have an old 10K already - man, are those harsh!! I'm tempted to give it a go for a few weeks though and see what happens... at least on the SPS side of my tank. Will I need to reset timing on the MH period and ramp up or go straight in?

I have a 250w 14k SE bulb laying around in the closet that I no longer need. The thing is I can't even tell what brand it is. I think it is AquaConnect but can't be sure. Let me know if you want to give it a try.

You may want to be careful judging color temp using used old bulbs as the temp may be off depending on the bulb life. Not saying that it wouldn't be helpful but just something to keep in mind. If you do go with new 14k bulbs it will be different.

Thanks - that works great!! I'll shoot ya a PM.

Regarding bulb age - I'm most interested in checking out aesthetics to start with. Mag-fired radiums put out such a fantastic look but it's not the best for growth. 14K does better on the growth front but I know I'd need to run new ones for some time before I could see results on my tank.

Ha! That's because i haven't sent it yet!!

Maybe meet up at a LFS one day soon? On the lookout for anything in particular?
