This is a local species, possibly a type of Gracilaria (according to our onsite invert expert that has many years of experience in local flora and fauna) that is found in the lagoon where I work. We already culture Gracilaria pacifica and have done pretty well keeping this stuff going too. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it might be. I am hoping I can keep it in with my seahorses, since I keep the tank around 72-73 F, because I think it would make a great hitching post for them. I figured I'd run some experiments to see what temps it can tolerate before I add it to the tank.
