Anyone attending MACNA 2010 in Florida?

Any Zoa Heads planning to attend the MACNA Conference in Orlando Florida this summer? These conference are very affordable and the benefits are great. You'll have a face to face entrée with some key players in the hobby. I have gain vast amounts of knowledge from attending them. I'd love to go, as this is probably as close as it gets to me other than when it was in Atlanta a couple of years ago, but it just doesn't seem possible between my job and my wife's work schedule.

Beyond the vendors and talks, I'd really like to meet some more hobbyists outside my local area in person. Getting to see the people behind the screen names and talking with them face to face has never been disappointing.

Me personally, I think all the speakers are great. What I usually do is look at the topics they will speak on, then I circle those speakers and times and coordinate my schedule each day accordingly. Make sure you bring a note pad or a micro recorder as you will surely miss some information you'll try to remember when you get home if there is a slide show or mini movie used by many of the speakers. I came home one year with 20 pages of notes for a 2 day conference. The knowledge you gain can be applied as soon as you return home. Also, try to sit close to the speaker themselves or one of the speakers, you know, the one the sound comes through, LOL.

Have fun and make sure you bring a camera to document your trip.
