Anyone been to Lake Rawlings in VA?

I heard it's supposed to be a really nice to place to dive. I was wondering if anyone on this site has any experience with the place. It's about a 3 hours drive for me, but we're going there in a few weeks and spend the day to check it out for ourselves.

I just dove there last week for my first certification dives (about a 2.5hr drive for me). It was very nice, of course, I don't have anything to compare it to...I saw some of the biggest bluegill and largemouth bass I have ever seen. We only went to 31ft and saw a couple of cars and the bus on the bottom. I know there is a plane around 60ft.

I'm going there next Sat. unlike lake Millbrooks in Haymarket, I heard that lake Rawlings water vis is much better and the facility is very well kept. Looking forward to checking out Miss Laurie, the plane that they sank down there.

Yeah the vis was good...around 30ft and the facility was very clean. I can't wait to go back to check the plane as well.
