Has anyone built and used this reactor before? If so how is it's performance and is the set up easy to use? I have never used a ca reactor but want to get into SPS and looking for a good reactor. I'm sure I could build a DIY reactor just wondering if this is a good one or if anyone else may have a lead to a different DIY reactors. Also I know that I'm going to have to dose with Kalk, wondering if anyone has any idea's on a Kalk reactor. If I don't do a DIY anyone have ideas on a good and reasonable priced Ca and Kalk reactor. Need some help and leads, thanks. Oh and also wondering if the bubble counter is necessary and if so how to build one also.

'wondering if the bubble counter is necessary "

yes, you need to know how much co2 is going into the system.

I dunno any diy reactors, i've only used built ones... but Melev knows what he's talking about... for the most part =P

On 75 gallons, you shouldn't really need a calcium reactor even with SPS. An auto top-off with buffered alkalinity and periodic doses of calcium will be sufficient, and you'll have good SPS growth and probably more control over your levels from the outset. The money you'd spend on a reactor would go a long way to improving other aspects of your tank, without the extensive initial tinkering and fluctuations of a calcium reactor. Good luck!

Red speaks the truth... lighting, filtration come b4 a good reactor... which additives are just fine imo.

i had a reactor on a 75 and loved it... but lighting/skimming was key
