Anyone ever experienced zoas not opening when switching lights?

Ok so I switched out my current USA t-5 bulb to ATI bulbs on monday and 2 days later a lot of my polyps are not opening up, is this normal? Everything else is good. amonia 0 nitrate 0 phosphates .03 or less calcium 420, alk 8.4 ph 8.2. The only thing else that I did was replace junk bulbs with much higher par ati bulbs. Do you think this is my problem?

IMO yes,can you move them to the bottom?If not cut your photoperiod back a few hours.

They are already at the bottom. I should shorten the light cycle or take out 1 bulb?

Try shortening the light cycle first.Example if you were running 8 hours i would run 4 going up 1 hour every 3 days.Those T-5's put out alot of PAR.
