if you can please give some feedback..how long you have had it and is it worth the investment? any other recommendations?

I've had one for my AP 24 for about 6 weeks (I think). It fits right in the chamber, and it started pulling junk on the first day. It took about 2 weeks for the micro bubbles to dissipate, but others have had it gone in a few days.

If you're keeping the pc hood, it's the only option out there, which is OK, as it works. If you're running hood-less, you have more choices such as a HOB Remora or the CSS 65 as well as the Tunze DOC 9002.

I have a sapphire on a 29g biocube and think it does a good job. The microbubbles are gone, and the gunk is accumulating at a fair rate. I would recommend it, but haven't tried the tunze product.

We have had one in our NC 24 for about a month and it works very well, go ahead and purchase one you will not be sorry.

I have had one in my NC 24 for about 2 months and it pulls gunk out. I have to empty the cut once or twice a day, but the skimmate is tea color and not that dark. I like it.

I have one in my 29 Bio Cube. Been there about a week. Still getting the micro bubbles, but the amount is getting smaller. It started to pull from the first day and I get about a half of the collecter cup full every two days. The skimmate is a light green in color and still pretty wet. I think this is okay but I may try moving the cup higher to get a dryer skimmate. Why you ask? I don't know for sure I just want to see what a dryer skimmate looks like I guess.
In conclusion I am very happy with the skimmer and the information and help from Kyle at Sapphire.

Have one on the BC29, same comments as others on the bubbles. Mine were gone after a couple weeks - big change in my water and I've been able to delay water changes as all levels are much better.

I wasnt too happy with mine at first, but the bubbles slowly went away and more and more skimmate is being pulled.. so I'll give it a thumbs up!!

The only issue I have with mine is having to dink with the height to get it to work properly. I couldn't use their "dam" piece as it lowered my water levels too much and the skimmer sits too low to pull air with out it. Had to devise a small stand to get it up to the correct level to get the cup high enough to not overflow and for the pump to draw air. Seems to be doing a good job of pulling gunk. Better than that poc Fission skimmer

We also have a BC 29 with a skimmer. WOW. The stuff we get out every day is green. I just cut the remaining plastic between the chamber 1 & 2 for better flow. I highly suggest it.
