Hello im looking for a superman monti. If you have it and would like to sell me a frag please let me know. also i would like to see a pic of it . Thanks

I've got a superman danae. There are 2 types (as far as I know) of Superman Montipora, the encrusting Danae, and the branching Digitata variety.

Mine are the fifth row down counting every row, all three going across. They will not be available until the frag swap in March though, so if you're in a hurry, go for Matt's.

I got a frag of Eric's (reefwreak) superman. Awesome coloration!
Matt has nice stuff too, either one of them will be a good choice.

I agree, I got this from Matthew 2 meetings ago and its spreading quite rapidly.

Dave, remember you can pop off the original frag, and superglue it elsewhere on the rock, and it'll spread faster that way. The hole left behind will fill in fast. As soon as mine makes it to 1", I'll be fragging it about 4 ways, and making 4 mini frags to all grow together.

Not to hijack this thread, but I recently got a big rainbow monti, and now after being in my tank for a couple weeks the polyps are HUGE. Pretty much to the point that you can't see the purple/blue base at all. I would take a pic but i cannot seem to figure out the art of aquarium photography....the blurry, miscolored pic would probably make it more confusing.

i'm running 2x175 14k Iwasakis, by the way...

Typo, long polyp extension is good!

I'm no expert...but i don't think it's a bad thing that the polyps are fully extended...i think its actually a good sign!

Isnt long extension sometimes a sign the coral is probably not getting enough flow or light? Extension being necessary to obtain more food / light?

some people dont' like to much polyp extension because of the reason you stated, they can not see the colorful base of the color and the contast between the colors
