anyone had success with dendro spawning?

My dendro spawned for the first time that I know of this morning. It didnt release the little yellow eggs that I've seen in other posts, just the milky liquid. I dont know if in this particular species that liquid includes sperm and eggs or if it didn't have the eggs to release. Seems to me that it would be both or it would be moot. So the question is has anyone seen the offspring of this event? If so how long did it take after the event to see the results? Also were you able to raise the babies?

thanks, bryan

Cherry corals had the same thing happen with their dendro, I don't know if any offspring came of it. Highly doubtful.

The other day we noticed the Dendro that we got a couple of weeks ago from Tylt33 of the Chico Reef Club was coming around - it had stayed puckered up since we brought it home and put it in our 75g, for the most part. It would open to feed every now and then, and then pucker up again. Now we noticed it is just COVERED on the one side with little bitty baby Dendros! And on the side, there is a bunch more kind of hanging there, it looks kind of spongy. When I put the thing in the tank, I thought I hurt it because it was kind of soft there, and I had rubbed it??? Uhhhh, this isnt what I expected to happen?

Mine spawned about a month ago... Made a post on here about it. Didn't get any babies out of it.

well it did it again this morning. I ran tests, cleaned skimmer and changed filter socks just to make sure it wasnt a "survival spawn" if you will. Everything tested out fine. I think it spawned due to a combination of extra feeding and a slightly cooler water change than normal.

Mine spawned as I was fragging out anthelia which was next to it.. Anthelia does release chemicals when disturbed, so maybe it is a stress response?
