Anyone have a double 10g stand?

Got tubes?
Hi all!

I'm thinking about using a double 10g stand and skinning it for a dwarf seahorse tank setup.

Anyone got one? Something like this one.

Brandon

i think critter has then pretty cheap....might even find a used one on the reptile side

i have an extra 10g tank never been wet if ya need one :D

btw....depending on how high you want it, we (meaning me & you watching? LOL) could build ya a pretty kick-arse frameless one out of a 1/2 or full sheet of plywood from lowes or home depot in probably a few hours

....or some 1x2s frame & thin plywood skin

:D

Brandon...if you let james build it it will withstand a hurricane/earthquake LOL....I'm just messin with you James.

LOL! Good point, Mike!

We'll play it by ear, James. :) I'm not 100% sure what I'll be doing just yet. But I greatly appreciate the offer!

Brandon where are you thinking on getting the zots. I'm been looking around the net. If you like we should get a bulk order of some ponies, sponges and plants alge. To save on shipping. I also think mixer like to start anther zots tank too. I just got to sale some zoa's out of my nano.so I can have right params for the lil zots.I'll need to Lower the temp and salinity for lil guys. But Im not sold on zots tho. I like an H. erectus or a H. fuscus. And so far I like seahorse source and have been told that there great to work with. Just hit me up.

Definitely Zef! Lets double team it.

I'm planning on getting my zots from ccritters.com and probably my macros from reefcleaners.org.

The problem with seahorse source is the price... they're twice as much as ccritters. Now granted, they're also captive bred, which is a big plus.

I'm wanting to do a 10g tank, so in order to get food proportions to work out right, I would need to have at least 10 most people suggest, although due to money I think I'll have to do 6.

Also, I'm a little bit concerned about doing brine every day. I'm hoping to get the adults on frozen and only feed brine when little ones are around, but we'll see. :)

Good to know others are considering this as dwarfs are going to be a challenge! But hopefully a fun and great experience.

When are you planning on doing yours? I may have to wait until after the holidays, I'm just not sure yet.

Brandon

Actually, they're a little more than twice as expensive unless you order 11 or more, which may be a possibility if I sell some extra corals. :D

Hmmm... I'd prefer captive bred, but we'll see. They also have limited availability. I will have to check with them.

I've been talking to CC. They just got a order of zots Tuesday. You know that captive breding mean a lot of things. Like a net cage in the ocean or in A tank with water from the ocean. You really ones that are use to our salt mixs that we use. If not they are more likely to catch something. So this what I got from all the reseach I've done the last four months. And also why I posted that thread last week. Look for someOne around here to get them.

And for zots that's why I don't want to mess with BBS everythey too.

I have a really nice metal double 10 gallon stand. It has a dark gold color with scroll pattern on the side. I have a couple of barely used tanks that fit it as well as a CPR overflow. All could be for sale at super discount prices, if you still have need or interest.
