Anyone have a frag section in your sump?

I'm going to be redoing my sump by adding a refugium and better filtration. I'm also considering adding a section for frags to get them out of my display. So I'm curious if anyone has a frag section setup already and how do you like it. If you could share some photos that would be great also.

I used to, but i have since plumbed in a homedepot mortar mixing tray above my sump and dedicate that to frags/coral quarantine.

I found the one Biggar has setup. I think that's what I want to do.

The new sump is going to be 48"x14"x18". I could almost have a dedicated area that is 10-12" just for frags or even fish.

Still looking at other set ups and getting some ideas.

used to grow frags and chaeto in sump (std 55g) with 70w halide and a korallia, much better than having a rack in the display. Slap a few LEDs on a piece of aluminum flat stock, throw in some egg crate and you are on your way..

Make sure the water flow can't pull pieces of fallen coral or plugs in your return pump causing damage to pump.

I created a 11" section that is partitioned with black plexi to host fish or frags, just need to get a light for it. I set mine up so the flow is all over the top (plexi pieces are glued to bottom of sump) only problem is very little flow on bottom if any at all. You might have to add a nano to get some circulation on the bottom (just something to watch for)
