BWAH! Yeah, I've got a couple left. Tell you what...you come over and successfully capture the buggers and they are yours. Want a gorilla crab? I've got one the size of a Yugo. Same deal, you capture him and he's all yours. He's big enough to make a nice crab bisque, though you might want to shave him first.

Fountainhead lol, you still haven't caught the gorilla?
So far I've caught 4 gorillas. One had a batch of eggs on its belly and I was fortunate to evict it before it laid them. The biggest one I caught is about the size of a quarter and he's now sitting in my QT.
I know there's still a small mantis at least, and quite possibly a pistol since I hear 2-3 clicks at a time.

Homey...I've caught one large (silver dollar size) gorilla crab, and several smaller ones (penny size). There are still a few small ones which stick to the higher rocks, and I'll grab those as the opportunity arises. But there is one MAMMOTH gorilla crab who stays on the bottom under the rocks, making him a beast to catch. I WILL get him one day, and believe me he'll wish his mommy had never met his daddy.
I've got at least one, more likely two mantis left. I've captured 5 over the 2 1/2 months since my 1st rock went in. Unfortunately, one of the remaining ones has housed himself in the biggest rock in the tank, in the bottom of the pile. Crafty little devil.

Fountainhead I hope you catch them all Bro. I still have a little 1" one in my tank somewhere. Last time I took about 70lbs of rock out to find him and he wouldn't come out so I gave up. One of these days I'll get him hehehe.
ReneX - I wish I got your post a week sooner because I had a 1" mantis. I caught him and put him in my QT with the other gorillas I evicted. Unfortunately I think my big gorilla ate him. If I get another, I'll keep you in mind

I just caught another mantis yesterday. He was poking his head out of a hole in my main rock and I was fortunate enough to remove the rock before he scurried away. Not only did I catch him, but I also saw a very TINY one. It must of been a baby and i'm getting that awful feeling that these pests are breeding in my tank! Anyway the mantis was a red one and measured about 1.5" long. I beat him to death with my chopsticks and fed it to my RBTA.
