Anyone have a small tank I can borrow for QT?

Going against my better judgment, I purchased a Coral Beauty and Scooter Blenny from Petco, and wouldn't you know it one of them has ICH! I really don't have the funds to fully set up another tank right now and wanted to see if anyone had one to donate short term. My fish are: clown fish, clown goby, scooter blenny, and a coral beauty. I just bought a clean up crew, so dosing my tank isn't really an option to lose all of my inverts either. Thanks in advance!

Ahhh, not a bad idea! I guess filter, power head, heater, and light and I am all set. Thank you maam!

You don't really need a filter right now. If you are treating your fish in the QT tank with copper or other chemicals, you'll lose filter bacteria anyways. You need no light, either. Ambient light is good enough for fish. Heater is not really needed right now unless you keep your house really cold with AC. A powerhead is helpful to keep the water moving. A couple or three short sections of PVC pipe or a few fittings for fish to hide in are beneficial as well.

If you are adding more fish in the future, I consider keeping a QT tank up and running. I have a simple sponge filter in my observation/QT tank at all time. I put any new livestock (fish, coral, etc.) there for observation. I don't treat them unless I need to except for zoanthids which I always do a fresh water dip first.

Yeah, hindsight being 20/20, I should have set up a QT before the display tank. I am going to buy a 15-20gal tank at Pet Depot today, powerhead, and heater (my AC is set to 73) for a permanent QT solution.

If your display tank is new, you might want to consider an ongoing QT tank.

A 5.5G or 10G will do in most cases if the fish(es) aren't too large.
