Anyone have an old 150w DE Phoenix 14k?

I used the PHX 14k 150's at one point and felt they started out real bright and dimmed tremendously in about 3-4 mos. Unfortunately I don't have one for you to try, but I thought I would just pass on my experience.

I think you are right about the bulb output diminishing Eric. The good news is after my half baked testing and the report on RC I read, they diminish but hold steady after that for a long time. I don't know about other bulbs out there, but I'm sure as the years go by and more testing is done and more reports are drawn up we will see what each bulb does over time.

Hmmm, what did you find that you liked better than the Phoenix 14k?

I could never find a single bulb in the 150w range I liked better, but when I ran a combo of Ushio 10's and 20's I had the best all around results. I haven't seen the ushio14k but it may be an option for you. Good luck.

I will have to check when I get home from work but I may have my old Phoenix 14K.

Score one for the pack rat in me. :)
