I am trying to put together a brochure, flyer, greeting card with pictures of aquariums in waiting rooms, offices, etc. that i will be sending out to dentists, physicians, lawyers etc. for my business. I am having a little trouble finding pics on the internet and i dont have a camera to take pictures of my current clients.

If anyone has any pictures they would like to share with me i would very much appreciate it.

You should be very careful in this area, as a recent employee with a high end aquarium maintenance company, unless you are given explicit permission to use the photos you can't just go around taking pictures from the internet and using them as your own. If you want to do it right, hire a photographer in your area and take them to all of your current clients for photos. Or buy or rent your own camera. It may cost you, but it will be cheaper than getting sued.

If you don't like those ideas, then keep going online and look at other aquarium maintenance companies and contact them asking for permission, but understand they may require you to put their company logo or copyright within your brochure.

You can also look at stock image websites where you can purchase the rights to use an image.

Speaking frankly, to avoid you and others possibly a lot of hassle and anger- just advertise pictures of your own accounts. There isn't much that we hate more than for people to pass off our hard and talented work as their own (even if that is not your intention).

A commercial brochure should be an accurate portrayal of your accomplishments. None of the work any of us post can possibly reflect that of your own through the lens or the livestock, so how would it be anything but a lie to begin with? Save yourself a ton of headache and legal fees by hiring a professional photographer to photograph your clients or buy the necessary equipment and learn the ropes to DIY.

A lot of lawsuits behind that.

It's a good thing you came here first, or you would have ended up at the courthouse with everyone's picture you used.

That's a problem!
