Does anyone local have a frag of this ORA german blue? I'd love to get a frag, or at least an idea of where I can get one!

Some ORA corals are overpriced and lame in my opinion, but thats a sharp looking coral! Are those flatworms on the rock below it? Not the best selling point.

I regret saying that I haven't seen anything like it locally. If I had, I would have bought it.

Deep Reef had one yesterday. They also had several of the other ORA frags - Tort, Rose Milli, etc.

Give a call to see what is still there.

Thanks DD-I called and the kid I talked to doesn't think it's the same one, but I'm going to swing by anyhow-

Please let us know how it goes. If you see more then one, I might swing by there and pick the other one up..

They didn't have this coral, at least not when I got there-but they did have a few nice ORA's like DD said, rose milli, green milli, a couple of green bottle brush shaped SPS and some others that caught my eye, 40$ with the CMAS discount. You can always tell the ORA stuff by those dang ceramic frag plugs. Jeff wasn't in so I couldn't ask him to order me one, but I am going to call later on today. The store is improving, but really they need to upgrade the fish holding tanks.

I don't see that photo on the ORA website. Where did you get it? I looked at another site and there is a guy in Racine Wisconson selling a ORA German Blue, but it looks nothing like your photo (It's a Monti Digita). Are you sure you got the name right?

(Racine is about 90 minutes outside of Chicago, BTW)

I should have read the whole thread before PM'ing them.. OOPS!:

that coral is "German Green with Blue Polyp Acro". Maybe its time for a contest to rename that thing, it needs it pretty bad. If I recall it was originally collected in the Red Sea in the early 90's

And there is this:
the german green w blue polyps are slowly making there way out they have started to release them in the last few weeks but there still in small numbers

The "Chips" coral is also awesome. Wouldn't mind stubbiling across a frag of that, IF you know what I mean .:smokin:

I saw your signature about the Chips. A friend of mine has a little colony. I think he got it from highlander? Not sure though I have been away from this area for too long to remember.
