Anyone here have a 240 gallon tank for sale?

I was just up in Nashville last Wednesday (for the U.S. Mens National (Soccer) Team.... it was Awesome!), and we stopped by Aquatic Critter, who had some larger tanks on their Floor.

If not, your LFS can Order one. (e.g. - Kermits or MemFish)

There is no place here that sells saltwater anything. There was a place in florence a few years ago but I believe it's out of business now too. Looks like I'll be buying a 240 from glasscages in dickson, tn this week if I can't find anybody with one to sell.

I moved here from va beach, va and they had some awesome lfs's there. They had a marine biologist that came in twice a week at the main store I shopped at and they had everything you could imagine there.

I'm going from a 55 gallon tank to a 240 that I plan on making into a room divider.

If Kermits or memfish visit this forum and could give me a quote on a 200 or more gallon tank I would appreciate it. I would prefer a 6' that is wider and 25" tall or if not I'll be getting an 8' tank.

Oh yeah, I just need the aquarium that hasn't been drilled because I want to be able to see thru it from both sides. I plan on putting an overflow onto the end of it.

Why not just get a tank that is drilled and has the overflow where you want it. If you get an undrilled tank, and then drill it yourself, you will void any manufacturer's warranty.

I agree having the overflow pre-drilled on the end would be your best bet, and you wouldn't have to worry about the "joys" of an overflow.

Thanks everyone, I was going to go with the 30" width but it was going to take another 2 to 3 weeks for them to build it and then another month before I could put water in it. After seeing the 96x24x25 tank I decided to go with it. I'm using the aquarium for a room divider between my kitchen and living room and I needed 8' anyway.

Going to try to work on building a stand today and hopefully start filling it up with water and starting the cycle. The tank comes out to 249 gallons and my sump is a 55 gallon tank. So it should be fun to say the least.

Thanks for wishing me luck mako, trust me I'm going to need it. I set up my first sw tank in 94 and for it too have ran well for over a year until I had to tear it down and move was a miracle. I'm pretty sure I broke every rule in the book and had the very minimal of equipment.
