Hi, have this stuff growing on a small rock in my tank. I'm guessing it's some kind of algae but I can't find our what it is, or whether it's bad or good! It glows bright orange under blues

Looks like algae (similar to coralline). It will fade away after a while. I have had similar and once lasted a few month but never grew bigger.
let it be and see if it grow into something else.

There's a strain of red macro algae that glows orange like that... it presents as small, irregular shaped bubbles, colored from dark maroon to pale red. Under actions, it fluoresces. Sometimes the larger bubbles will look polka-dotted under blues. Very pretty stuff.

It waves in the current like it's soft, I haven't tried to touch it. A trochus snail grazed over it last night munching algae, but hasn't eaten any of it. There are more bits on that rock but that is the largest and easiest to photograph
