Anyone keep an Ebili Angel in a reef?

The largest fish in my tank is a Bi-Color Blenny at about 3". I am looking for more of a 'showpiece' fish to add. I had a Coral Beauty in the past and she was a complete horror picking at my LPS and softies. Is an Ebili any better? I understand it is still an Centropyge and they are all going to be hit or miss, anyone have experience with this? Thanks for the help.

IMO all centropyges are equally risky, and it's worth the risk. I keep a C. flavicauda, a coral beauty and a flame in my 65g and they're all pretty well behaved. They did pick on my open brain and force me to move it, but they're not bothering the other LPS or the softies. If you've found a healthy eibli that's eating well, I say go for it ...just make sure he's well fed, and keep an eye on him ;)

I have an open brain, Candy Cany, and Blastos that I am rather attached to and would prefer not to have an Angel pick at them. It's a beautiful fish....I'll have to wait and see if I find anything else that I like and want to add to my tank. I just wanted to hear what other people have experienced with this fish.

The CB is a reasonable risk. You can test the individual fish's proclivity for any coral by inserting it in the quarantine tank with him (by quarantine tank for angels, I mean a medicine-free tank with some LR and even some macros)

With time any angel can develop a taste for coral, especially in an underfed, sterile tank. But this will let you know at least if he's already a coralaholic & going to swim straight to your brain & chow down.

I'm not too sure about Eibl's, sorry, I think they can be nippers & I know sometimes they'll pick on the smaller fish..but I know you should avoid Herald's, bicolor, keyhole and lemonpeel

I would not do any dwarf qngel in a reef. My old cherub ate my brian. Back to the LFS for him.
That's terrible! Was Brian your husband? Did the cherub come out of the tank after him? How fat was the cherub after that?

Sorry i couldn't resist  And neither could the fish... brains are just so good! They are kind of like zombies when it comes to brains. :D
