Anyone keep Triggerfish Species only tanks?

Im looking to do a tank with only 1 trigger, most likely a Humu Trigger or an Undulated trigger.

Who has these kinds of tanks, and what equipment are you running?
Im trying to keep this tank on a low budget so, im hoping to learn from other people's experience.

I had a friend that had a Undulate species tank when I lived in S. Carolina....What a facinating and entertaining fish, I used to look after it when he was out of town....He was by himself for a year after he killed all his damsal buddies, he eventually put a Fimbriated Eel in with him and they seemed to tolerate each other....I would love to do a Undy tank someday, or if I get a larger tank, I may do a Queen Trig only tank with my 240....

Can't remember the exact size tank he had, just know it was a 6 footer with a lot of fake coral, some LR and a wet/dry filtration...nothing special.

I have a 135 with 7 triggers, they do not fight, beleive or not, but it sounds like you want only a one fish tank.

Chris, that Titan is sooo damn cool.

Seen your pics a few times of him and have wondered where you got him? and how old and big is he now? I have never seen one other than a public aquarium....Do you have future plans for him, as he doesn't look anywhere near full grown?

I got him at a LFS.

They are pretty common in in the trade, they are the cheapest trigger that you can buy wholesale, I paid $25.00 for him.
I see them at the wholesalers in LA all of the time they are only$5.95 there.

Tell your LFS to order a pineapple trigger, those are either Titans or Yellow Margins they look very similar when juvies and are always imported together as pineapple triggers from the Indian Ocean.

Just tell them when they are ordering to get the one with a mustache, as those are the Titans.

As for his future , he will be moving into a 125 soon.

When he outgrows that I will have a nice dinner, no kidding LOL:lol:
I have several big tanks he can go in.

Very cool fish lot of personality and I cannot wait to see his adult colors I have been feeding him 4 times a day to get him to grow and it seems to be working as when I got him he was the size of a quarter now he is about 4 inches.I have had him for 5 months.
