Anyone know what this is?

I came home from work to find this white stuff on my front glass. I want to clean it off, but I want to make sure that it's not the eggs of something in the tank. I just got a ton of new snails... I don't know what it might or might not be, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Any idea as to what type? Is this a good thing? Whats the likelyhood of them surviving?

So far nothing has touched them. How long could I expect the incubation period to be if they do survive?

wow i have those too, i thought it was just sand stuck to something wormy...

I get those occassionally too and I believe them to be from the Cerith snails. Never have had them hatch tho.
