My LFS has (2) of them. He wants $100 each.
Just thought I'd post this because that is one of my favorite fish and somewhat hard to find.

Blue Dot Jawfish - Opistognathus species...$100.00

***Due to this items infrequent appearance at suppliers, please email to inquire about the availability of this specimen.***

Restricted Species. This species is very difficult to keep and should only be attempted by expert aquarists, or is a 'delicate shipper.' Our Stay Alive guarantee is not available on this item.

So it looks like the price is more than fair in this case plus you have the added advantage of seeing the fish before purchase and not subjecting it to the stress of overnight shipping.

Here we go.

Ya its not the best store. lol
I have kept a BSJF and in my opinion they are very easy to keep. Except when you have a big green carpet. When I first got him he jumped onto the concrete floor and I thought he was dead, but he lived for a long time after that. Mean little sucker. haha

Does that mean you don't have him anymore?

FYI, Tong's sells them for $79.99 whenever they get them. Which seems to be about once/month for the past 4 months. But you have to really hurry, cuz they would have 5 specimens and sell them within a couple of days.

I think Total Tropical had one when I was there last Saturday. I think I fed it some of the decapsulated brine shrimp eggs a dropped off for Ron.
I don't keep many fish so I don't really pay much attention.

I QT my bsjf and added it to the display tank. The fish is an instant favorite, it is able to stand its ground yet does not show aggressive behavior.

Does anyone know how these fish live in the wild? Do they share burrows? I always see them kept separate once they get to a LFS.
