Anyone looking for RPE's?

Stopped up at Elmer's today, and they have a few nice sized colonies for sale in the tanks in the front of the store for $59.99

The largest colony had about 80 polyps on it.

Here's a picture I found on www.zoaid.com that most closely resembles them:

Elmer's has really gotten a lot of nice zoas and paly colonies lately. I remember being there a few years ago and their coral selection was completely that large tank in the back of the fish section...have really impressed me recently. Seems like a great price for something like those.

Ahhhh... I'll split them...

I was on the fence with them, but $30 makes it worthwhile to give them a shot under the 20k light.

Tom, I will probably have some to spare... potentially my entire half.

I've got a small tank, so space is at a premium, and unless these baby's glow, I'll probably end up selling them.

At the very least... I'm sure I could get you a frag.

Here are the initial pictures... I'll take some more later after they settle in, and stop stressing from the coral dip.

The striations which confirm they are "People Eaters"

Pics of the Polyps... they're very dark purple, but I'm still not considering them "True PPE's" because they don't have the neon green skirt. I'll have to check around on ZoaID to see if I can find the exact name.

Thanks... I'll let you know... I'm gonna wait on them for a while until I see what "true color" ends up popping out under my light.

Hey Ray... I'm going to cut them up tomorrow... the suckers already seem to be growing, so I think fragging them onto rocks where they have room to spread will be a good idea... and who knows how many more polyps will pop up by the meeting!
