Not from the above link of course, since it does say "Yashia Goby & Candy Red Pistol Shrimp Pair" and all...

But if I were to find one in a local store would it be sold as the pair?

not always I bought my goby from Hector, and didn't want/need a pistol....These guys can jump through lightgrate....you will have to cover your tank with something tighter. they will jump, fly halfway across your living room, be carried around by the cat and make you very sad...I'm just sayin.....I think I got mine for $45 ish from Tropical Aq.

They're not always sold as a pair, and you can't guarantee they'll pair up with shrimp or another yasha goby.

I purchased 2 separately (at the same time) and added a pistol shrimp later. None of them burrowed anywhere near each other.

They should immediately descend to the bottom of the tank and burrow... if they don't then you'll want to cover your tank, as they'll be a constant jumping threat until they burrow. Once they make their home though, they rarely venture far from it.
