Anyone south of the canal?

quite a few people on the forum from south of the canal. we should think of some things we can do together down there sometime. We did have the Doctor Mac trip in december. wonder what else we could do, now that summer is coming? field trip to???

Perhaps when the weather warms up a bit a trip to the beach! I could show everyone my fav spot at Cape Henlopen where neat tide pools form. Anyone have any nets? I'm surprised we don't hear about anyone keeping a tank of local organisms. I know there were some employees at an LFS down there, won't mention which one, trying to keep some local stuff in reef tanks. Most stuff doesn't make it a couple weeks in those hot temps.

Smyrna here.

Does anyone here drill glass? I have a new tank and I ordered it with too small of a drain for a closed loop. I need a hole drilled for a 1-1/2" bulkhead. I know the bottom is tempered so that's out of the question so it would have to be one of the sides. The tank will be setup as a peninsula (3 viewable sides) so there is only one overflow box on the end, centered. I want to drill through the overflow box from the tank side then through the side of the tank. Or maybe just through the side of the tank, either way does anyone here do this. I spoke to Go Glass but they would need the tank there and that isn't an option. The glass is 1/2" on the sides and box. I've also just considered over the side with the drain if it's a pain to drill the glass. Any thoughts would be great.

Philip was saying that he got his drilled at ECA? You should give them a call and see if they are still doing it. Is a little expensive, but just.. Git r done.

I'm in Bridgeville. I missed the trip to Dr Macs...was on vacation...so I'd like to get another
one organized...especially if they give group discounts!

I missed the Dr Mac trip too, trouble with the law. (jk) I'd like to get another trip together as well. I've been there several times, but haven't gotten the "grand tour".

I almost went down there wednesday to buy 180lbs of the tonga fusion, but his shipment got rerouted... but im definently looking to get down there eventually.

I can get in touch with them about organizing another tour since so many people missed it... What kind of numbers are we looking at and what timeframe is good? Spring, when weather is nice and people haven't yet gone on vacation?
