Good Morning,
So I have had this Tunze 9002 on my nano for about 6 years. I normally clean it once every month of two. I have been noticing though that lately it is "stalling out" a lot more often. With these skimmers, the longer you let it go without proper cleaning, the pump in the skimmer will eventually stop working.
My complaint is I have been finding this is happening a lot more often now that the skimmer is older. I just cleaned it out 2 weeks ago, and I woke up this morning thinking the room where my tank is was too quiet. Sure enough, the skimmer was not working.
Anyone still have this skimmer? Is it outdated by now? Should I look to get the Tunze 9001 instead?
This is for my jbj 28g nano, so whatever skimmer I get, needs to be able to fit in the back chamber for those who aren't familiar. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions/comments/experiences. Thanks!!
