Anyone switch dips during aefw treatment?

Wondering because I have been using revive for a while now, and I am worried that they may have developed a tolerance to it maybe? I have had the flatworms for a while now and in the old tank I did a 6 week treatment of dips each week with revive, and before that I kept them in check with revive dips on individual colonies. I guess I wasn't through enough with the 6 week treatment or they came back on something aftewards. I now have a 210 and thankfully all the colonies are on small rocks I can take out (except for one that is on the end of a piece of live rock and I just set the corner of the rock in the dip) and I have been dipping in revive for 5 weeks now. I did an interceptor treatment about 2 months ago and saw they had came back.

So I did three weeks of dips in a row and couldn't find any revive so I had to skip a week (actually 12 days, which I probly shouldn't have done), the fourth dip went well. I am rinsing all of the pieces off in fresh tank water before putting back into the tank. Now I just did the 5th dip and found that some eggs must have hatched from something I couldnt see because I saw some really small bite marks on a few pieces. I was going to do eight weeks of dips but I think I will end up doing 10 because I am sick of this battle. Whatever I have will go for validias and millies.

On the next dip this friday I am going to check under all the rocks really good for any pieces that have fallen but I am pretty sure everything is good (crossing fingers...). Also I am going to dip anything that had bite marks once in the middle of the week to make sure everything came off.

The main reason for this post is to find out if I should switch up what I am using to dip with. I am worried I have used revive for so long that the flatworms might be getting used to it? I am probly just worried since I saw bite marks on this dip and more than I normally have, which may be because all the redbugs are gone and I am not sure how long I had them.

I was thinking about switching to tropic marines dip for a few dips but I can't find the dosage. I have been dipping in a 20 gal tank filled up halfway so I can dip everything in about 3 or 4 sections. I have never diped with tmpcc so I am worried of messing it up so if anyone has any info on how much per gallon of water let me know. I was going to just start upping the amount of revive I am using on every dip but I am still worried the fw's are starting to get used to it (which is probly not whats happening and I havent heard of it but opinions would be cool). I guess another option for dips would be levamisole not sure which would be better.

If anyone that has killed all their aefw with dips has any tips please let me know.

Thanks I will look into that I haven't heard much about it. Revive has been pretty good on my corals, a couple corals I take out a couple min early because they look funny afterwards, but never had any losses or anything.

For everyone that has done the weekly dips for aefw how long into the treatment did you see bite marks and how far apart were the dips? I am a little frustrated since I saw some again this week. I would really like to hear from someone who had a similar experience and came out on the winning end. I am willing to do as many dips as I need to to do so.

Well I just did the 6th dip and I saw just as many or more new bite marks. I can't really see them until after I do the dip and put it back into the tank. When I pull the coral out it seems to look like all the old marks are healing then when I dip it and put it back in I see new ones. Seems like they are hatching from somewhere. I looked with a mirror behind all the rocks and I can't find any pieces that could have fallen, I keep the rocks clean (no pieces of coral growth on the rocks), and I have everything on their own piece of rock so I can dip easy. I never would have thought I would be seeing little bite marks on week 6. Like I said in the first post I skipped a week after the third dip. I think I might need to do the rest of the dips 5 days apart, but even then there are no eggs on the corals or around the base.

Today I took out a validia that had a good amount of bite marks on it (all the bite marks are really small not adult aefw makrs) after dipping it yesterday with everything else and put it in a bucket with an extra cap of revive in it and basted it with a turkey baster three times during its 16 min dip. I didn't see any flat worms on it which tells me the revive is working. I would think if it wasn't at least a few would come off the coral from just the turkey baster.

I have heard so many opinions on how long it takes for eggs to hatch, from 15 days up and in my case it seems like its definatly more than 15 days...
