anyone use a Sony NEX?

I do..The Nex-3, Its alright. Its kinda in between a point and shoot and a DSLR. Works for me for the price but if your getting into macro shots this probably wont do.

Here's a couple example shots.

The NEX 7 i've heard is very good, but that gets really expensive, I asked the same question on an other forum and the general consensus was that an entry level DSLR like the D3200 is better from a price standpoint. Mirrorless cameras are new and still havent matured.

The NEX 5N might also be worth taking a look at.

I recently treated myself to a Nex-7 but don't have any tank shots yet.

There's not a wide selection of lenses available yet, and no decent macro right now. Not a big deal for me because I'm an amateur and it'll take me several years to accumulate lenses anyway. There are macro tubes available and adapters for Alpha and other manufacturer lenses, but that somewhat undermines the small size.

Overall I'm pleased with it but there's been a bit of a learning curve with all the new features -- my last camera was an N80 that used this bizarre strip of chemical-coated plastic that it stored in little drums. The electronic viewfinder is definitely different. I like it but understand how a lot of old pros would hate it.

Here's a time lapse I made this week with the Nex-7. It's my first attempt, now let's see if I can embed it successfully...

A new version of the Nex-5 is rumored to be on the way this summer if you're willing to wait a couple months. Don't know what might be different on it but it would be nice if it had the dial controls like the Nex-7.
