Anyone using the Tunze Nano skimmer in their nano reefs?

I have it without stony's.

However my bioload is moderate to slightly above average at this point and it's able to pull lots of dark skimmate out. It does the trick for me.

I don't have any pictures but, yeah.

I couldn't tell from your thread there how much your bioload is? It seemed like it was just 2 fish?

Btw,

Your trendiness astounds me, I love all your little paraphernalia, its like how Id like my room to look but then the gf steps up and says no way and I shreek back into my corner.

Rosseau, any problem with microbubbles in the tank? And I hear that it skims fairly wet. Is this true in your experience?

Sorry to highjack your thread, Red. But I have been seriosly considering this skimmer lately as an upgrade from my Prizm.
Hope you don't mind.

Yeah, I guess my bioload isn't bad really. 2 fish, 7 snails, 5 hermits, a pretty big urchin, scallop.

Haha... ah yeah, the trendiness is an eclectic function of entropy... I have no room left for all of this crap, it needs to go. Usually girls get lost and wonder around my room looking at things. The nano usually freaks them out. meh.

GobyJohnKenobi, I Haven't had any problems with microbubbles. Currently the skimmer is in my sump so perhaps I just don't notice. However I don't see any in the sump. Also the water pretty much flows out of the sump right after passing through the skimmer and these bubbles don't make it into my tank.

In my opinion it works well. Keep in mind this is my first skimmer....

Oh and, yes it skims pretty wet. However it can easily go a week or longer without needing its cup emptied.
