Actually, lots of people use those bulbs (especially Ushios which is why I chose them) and the data is from the same guy that wrote the article you just cited. Nothing radical about it.
Strange, I look at the data in the article - and it does a good job of backing up exactly what I said. There's a 30% difference in the SPS 10 vs 20 and there's no data for a Catalina 10K. There's a 20% diff in the PFO bulbs, but that's an 11K vs and 18K, only 7K apart from each other instead of 10K.
Is it just me, or did you ust shoot yourself in the foot? Or maybe you don't consider a 30 to 60% difference in PPFD as being "much of a difference" as you put it.
