anyway to kill ick?

ok i have a couple things in my qt that i want to use for other purposes so i was wondering if i could like maybe dip them in boiling hot water to kill the ick on the items? or let it dry then just rinse its clean with hot water? any input will be appreciated. oh and the items that im trying to use for something else are a heather a powerhead and a thermometer. i know the thermometer coudlnt be put into boilign water i think it woudl exploid.

All you would have to do is put your stuff in a bowl of freshwater... Ick cannot live in fresh water... I would put them in there overnight and they would be good to go by morning...

awesome and easy thanks i am actually going to use them in my ro storage anyways i just didnt want the ick being transfered thru waterchanges

It is easy, most will say that you can transfer your stuff after only like 30 minutes in freshwater, but to be safe I would leave them in overnight... You could always add a few drops of copper in the freshwater just for a little extra help but you would have to rinse your stuff off after the copper...
