Apex and remote controllable outlet

I want to control and outlet in my basement for ro/di water reservoir with my Apex. With my old Aquacontroller it was easy to just put a X10 outlet there. What would be a good way that I could control a remote outlet with my Apex? If it only with an EB4 and a long Aquabus cable, can I just get a 40 foot USB 2.0 cable to use?

The Apex still supports X10 technology, so you should be able to do it the same as before. I am no expert, but I believe it is just a matter of plugging an X10 control inteface into the Apex RJ11 port (labeled Control).

I wound up putting EB4s (two of them) and EB8s (three of them) in a few different locations and ran long USB cables. I would up just using several extension cables for the longer runs.
