I am trying to set up my TrendNet IP851WIC to integrate with the apex. I found the URL that allows me to view the camera from my web browser, its http://192.168.1.81/tvjview.htm. I realize this is a local IP address and probably cannot be accessed from outside of home.

I am trying to use this in Apex Fusion but nothing happens when I set it as a MPEG-4 H.264 vid (or any others for that matter). I figure it should at least work when I am on the same network, no?

Can someone help me out here please. I also tried entering it directly into my apex control panel (not fusion) but its not working there either. Basically why is it not working with the local IP when I am on the same network, and even better would be some guidance on how to set it up so I can view remotely when not at home.

Thanks

There is an entire subforum over on Neptune Systems Community devoted to webcams integration with Fusion. Given the hundreds of cams available, the fact that different browsers support different types of streams, and there does not seem to be a good URL standard how to address them even within the same mfgr, getting one's camera to work is tough some times. I didn't go out and research for you, but that forum may be another place for you to check -- lots more Apex users hang out there than here these days. Good luck!
