APEX iPhone/Remote Web Control

This one has me stumped... I downloaded the Aquanotes iPhone app and I am able to monitor and control at home. Setting up for remote access has been a struggle.

Equipment

Airport Extreme / Airport Express (Apex connected to the Express)

As I mentioned I get things working at home, but remote I am off. At one point,I thought that I had it setup and working, as I got a green light from the Aquanotes app, but no information was being displayed. Can someone help me out with this.

Can you get to it via a PC outside your home, and just not through your iPhone, or can you not get outside access at all?

To get outside access you will need to:

1) set up router to open port (80 or another)
2) go to dyndns.org and set up a domain (i.e. myapex.dyndns.org) so that you do not have to keep up with your home's public IP (as it may change unless you pay for a static IP)
3) once the other steps are done, you should be able to access your Apex remotely

P.S. - if you haven't downloaded the Unofficial Apex User's Guide, then I highly recommend you do so. It can be found here: http://reeftech.webs.com/

So I am logged in now... my iPhone logs into the APEX, now I cannot connect locally...

Create a second controller entry in the iPhone app using the actual ip address of the Apex.

Use this entry when at home using wifi. Use the other one with your ddns hostname when using 3G or wifi away from home.
