I sent my base unit back for warranty it quit working and was told it was a bar Ethernet port. Since then when power goes out I have to reset clock all the time. Can I change the battery??? Secondly I've got 2 ph probes. One seems to be good other is reading 11.8 in same water as 8.44 on the other. I tried to recalibrate it but it won't settle hangs at 1245 no matter what solution I put it in. I soaked it in vinegar and cleaned it but what's the deal. Probe is about 6 months old
 
So was the ethernet port repaired? If so, and you are running current firmware, you can configure the Apex to automatically synch to an internet time server. The battery is not user servicable. If you sent it in for repair, did they not find the battery was bad? Anyway, with auto synch, the battery is not really needed. It will synch at restart.
The pH probe sounds like it is bad. They are only warranted by Neptune for 90days, so you will need to get another one. There are a few threads here discussing alternate sources.
