Apex + Meanwell ELN-60-48D dimming

Hi all, I've got my rapidLED actinic fixture all wired up and it works when I apply a 9V battery to the dimming wires :bounce3:

Having trouble with the VarSpd outlets on the controller though. I've got both a DIY cord and since I was having this trouble, I bought the Neptune 2 Channel dimming cable just in case it was an issue with my DIY cable.

Neptune cable to VS2 reads 0.06 vdc on my digial multimeter and VS1 is 0.01vdc. Both are set to MANUAL ON and the programming statements are simply "SET ON". I'll do Ramp profiles when I get the controller to light the ballast the simple way.

When compared to a 9V battery (9.02 vdc) which does power it up the ballast 0.06 and 0.01 vdc don't seem to be enough juice to tell the ballast to power up. These seem like "off" states. I must be missing something dumb here. Any ideas?

Check the polarity of your connection, blue goes to the + white to the -. check this site

This is a picture of a DIY cable they made:

I made this simply cutting an Ethernet cable and connecting the correct cable color to the meanwells.

Now I have clouds passing my DT. :)

Yeah I figured out the polarity thing right away by testing with the 9V battery. I turned all the Apex variable speed ports "ON" and still none go over 0.06 vdc.

My DIY cord was actually working fine, but I assumed I had a problem with it since its not sending the 10vdc current. I wasted my $ on the Neptune cord apparently since it is getting the same results. I either have a problem before the cord or "between the keyboard and chair" as they say.

RapidLED sent a pretty good set of directions with the kit I bought. That and the Apex New Users Guide have helped a lot. That web site link you provided was great. I will use their code.
