Apex questions

Hi guys, I am sure that this has been answered a 100 times already, but I have done a pile of reading and not sure what i need.

I am interested in an Apex Controller for my 120. If I understand correctly,

Route #1. I can buy an Apex Jr, and add on a EB8 energy bar, and have control of 12 outlets. I would also buy a leak detection module and leak detection probe. Approx 650$

Route #2. Buy a Apex Neptune that already includes a EB8, add on the leak detection module and leak detection sensor for approx 850$.

Now from what i can see, is that the route #2 includes a pH probe. Can someone please give me some insight into what I am missing. I have done alot of reading, and cant seem to figure this all out.

Really appreciate it!

I would opt for the full Apex system, it's more expandable in the long run and a better deal.

Do you really have 16 outlets you need to independently control? You can get a high-capacity splitter if you have mutliple cords that share the same logical control (multiple lights on the same schedule).

What are you planning to monitor? Temp, pH, ORP, Salinity?

Are you planning to manage an ATO through the Apex? You probably want an I/O breakout box.

I guess if I would buy the full system, I would control my ATO with Apex. I have about 10 things I would not mind having control of.

Return Pump, Powerhead, Skimmer, UV, ATO, Lights (2X AI Hydra), Dosing Pumps, 2x Reactors (GFO, Carbon).

One more question, is it able to connect vi WIFI? or do i have to hard wire through a CAT5?

Thanks again.
