The sun light worked fine for me, but seems most people use the electric reference version.

Thank you. I'm assuming that there are no problems repeatedly submerging Apogee sensors in saltwater (please correct me if I'm wrong ).

Now they are completely sealed. As near as I can tell these are the exact same sensor that is on the meter. Just no meter attached. Radioshack has a dual banna plug that fit the spacing on my meter. I screwed the wired into the plug and add strain relief (really thin wires) and now it is plug and play.
